One Down and One to go.

Last Saturday San Jose City FC took on rival Jasa Dos at their home field. It was a must win for San Jose to keep in contention for playoffs. Currently, San Jose is sitting in first but without winning its remaining games Monterey could pass them up. The top team out of the three Liga NorCal divisions advanced to semi finals and the best overall 2nd place make up the semi finals. San Jose wanted to control their destiny. Jasa is always a well organized team and move the ball well in midfield. We new coming in it was going to be a tough battle.

The action was back and forth. San Jose get a few good chances and even hit the post. If it wasn't for the great saves from the Jasa goal keeper it could have been an early lead. Finally, San Jose break through and get fouled to force a PK. Babacar Diallo steps up to take the kick. He put in a confident placed shot to get the nights only goal to win the game.

San Jose has one game left in the regular season. It is another must win for them to control their path to playoffs. San Jose is sitting on 16 points and one game left. Monterey has 12 points and 2 games remaining. If San Jose can finish with a win in the last game then they will win the division. Come out and cheer us on.
